Following a dominant 38-13 win over then-no. 15 Wisconsin on Saturday night, Michigan has rocketed up the polls to no. 6 in the AP Poll and no. 7 in the AP Poll.

It’s the first time that the Wolverines have been in the top 10 of either poll.

They started the season ranked 14th in the AP but dropped the season-opener 24-17 at then-no. 12 Notre Dame and dropped to 22.

After five straight wins before this week, Michigan’s no. 12 ranking entering the game was its highest of the season. The combination of their most impressive win of the season and upsets in the top 10 then helped move the Wolverines to their highest ranking since 2016.
