A source informed The Wolverine Lounge Thursday morning that Cincinnati DL coach Al Washington has informed multiple people and UC signees that he’s heading to Michigan to coach running backs.
Washington’s previous gig was coaching RBs at Boston College, before he transitioned to defense, where he coached alongside former BC DC – current Michigan DC – Don Brown.
Washington is a stellar recruiter with a strong history of producing good running backs, accounting for the development of Andre Williams – a Heisman finalist and Doak Walker Award winner in 2013. Williams was the first Doak Walker winner in ACC history.
