BREAKING: Tim Drevno to resign from Michigan football

A source confirmed to The Wolverine Lounge Friday morning that offensive coordinator Tim Drevno has resigned from Michigan football. An official announcement is pending.

Drevno held the title of OC/offensive line coach for three seasons with the Wolverines.

Michigan?s offense had its worst season in the Harbaugh era in 2017, including multiple games with more than four turnovers.

This made Drevno a victim of harsh criticism from the fan base following the season.

His position group was the offensive line. A prime candidate to replace him is current analyst, and former Ohio State OC Ed Warinner.

Warinner moving from analyst to assistant would put the staff at its maximum of 10 assistants.

Where Drevno heads for his next gig could be a family connection. His son is a Vanderbilt signee in the 2018 class.
