It’s March and it’s madness. Almost everyone will predict the tournament’s Final Four and almost everyone will be wrong.
Nonetheless, ESPN’s Jay Bilas’ bracket holds more merit than the one your mom filled out in her work’s bracket pool.
Bilas released his bracket Tuesday morning and put Michigan in his Final Four, drawing a matchup with the No. 1 overall seed, Virginia.

The Wolverines’ in-state rival, Michigan State, made Bilas’ Final Four, too. The Spartans hold an 0-2 record vs. Michigan this season.
Bilas has the Cavaliers defeating Michigan and inevitably winning the National Championship.
Sporting News’ Mike DeCourcy did a region-by-region breakdown of the NCAA Tournament.
In the West region, he has Michigan in the Final Four, noting the matchup nightmare that center Moe Wagner is and the defensive ability of the Wolverines’ backcourt.
His sleeper team in the region is 11-seeded San Diego State, a team that Michigan would draw in the Second Round should both teams win their first matchup.
The best First Round game in the region, according to DeCoury, is Ohio State vs. South Dakota State in a 5 vs. 12 matchup.
The Wolverines continue to be a trendy pick in this year’s field.
