Michigan has picked up a commitment from 2019 three-star Clayton (Oh.) Northmont defensive end Gabriel Newberg.
Newberg visited Michigan last week and was offered a scholarship. Tonight, he made it official, and chose the wolverines over offers from Michigan State, Iowa, and more.
Newberg becomes the seventh commitment, and second at his position, in the 2019 class for Michigan, which now ranks as the number 3 overall recruiting class in the nation.
Michigan now holds commitments from three defensive linemen in the 2019 class, from the states of Georgia, Kentucky, and Ohio, and will likely look for a big haul at the position, with potentially three or four coming at the strong-side and weak-side end positions.
