According to a University of Michigan spokesman, star receiver Tarik Black is out with a right foot injury.
“The Michigan Football program announced that wide receiver Tarik Black sustained a right foot injury at Saturday’s practice,” the release said. “Tarik is currently being evaluated and no definitive time frame has been determined for his return to play.”
Black, a sophomore, was the team’s leading receiver last season before breaking his foot against Air Force in Week 3 that left him sidelined for the season.
The foot he injured Saturday is not the same he injured in 2017.
As a true freshman, Black scored the first of few receiving touchdowns for the Wolverines in 2017. His most memorable play came against Florida in Week One, when he caught a deep pass from Wilton Speight in the end zone.

On the bright side for Michigan fans, the program has a talented group of wide receivers. As?The Wolverine Lounge?has reported, sophomore Nico Collins has been the most impressive receiver in camp this month.
It sounds like we’ll know just how good he’s been right away as Michigan takes on Notre Dame this Saturday.
