John Beilein’s 2020 recruiting class got its first verbal commitment Tuesday night when Maumee Valley Country Day guard Zeb Jackson announced via a video on Twitter that he was committing to Michigan.
According to 247Sports.com, the junior is a four-star recruit, and the second-best player out of the state of Ohio in the Class of 2020. Jackson has been a prominent player through his recruiting process but narrowed his decision down to a final seven schools in September. The 6 foot 3 Jackson drew offers from 19 different Division 1 schools, including Michigan State, Ohio State, and Purdue.
The shooting guard ranks as one of the most well-rounded players in his class. 247Sports’ composite rankings have Jackson as the 18th ranked guard in the Class of 2020, and as the 66th best player in the country overall.
Wolverine fans will get a chance to see Jackson in person on November 10th, when Maumee Country Day opens its season against Oak Park High School in Oak Park, Michigan.
