Thursday Recruiting Roundup: Progress being made with 2020 4-star

As the Wolverines coaching staff continues preparation for Iowa, the staff also continues to work on the recruiting front.

Here is the latest news and notes.

Wolverines growing on Hinton?

Class of 2020 4-star OT Myles Hinton (GA.) — brother of freshman DT Chris Hinton — was in Ann Arbor on Saturday for Michigan’s 52-0 drubbing of Rutgers. It was his second visit this season following his first on September 7th vs Army. Hinton is a Stanford commit and has been so since January.

However, according to Brice Marich of TMI, Michigan is making progress with the 2020 target. Hinton is expected to visit again when the Wolverines take on Notre Dame on Oct. 26.

Hinton is ranked as the no. 65 overall prospect in the 2020 class, the no. 7 OT in the country and the no. 7 player in Georgia according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

2022 safety talks Michigan visit

Class of 2022 Safety Myles Rowser (Mich.) was also in Ann Arbor this weekend and spoke to Brice Marich about his experience.

Rowser came away impressed saying that “the defense was on fire,” and “the tempo on both sides of the ball was faster.”

He is the brother of 2020 corner commit Andre Seldon, and despite being an underclassmen, has already received offers from Florida, Nebraska, Penn State and West Virginia among others.

Rowser has yet to be ranked in the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

2021 4-star WDE Rodney McGraw (IN.)

McGraw was in Ann Arbor on September 7th before taking a visit to Wisconsin on Sep. 21 and was a first hand witness to Michigan’s 35-14 loss. He is ranked as the no. 309 overall prospect, the no. 18 WDE and the no. 5 prospect in Indiana.

2022 S Kyle Johnson (Mich.)

Johnson is the teammate of Michigan commits Cornell Wheeler and Makari Paige. He has yet to be ranked by 247.

2021 3-star to visit vs Iowa

2021 3-star SDE Ryan Keeler (IL.) is expected to visit Ann Arbor this weekend for the Wolverines showdown with the Iowa Hawkeyes.

He is the Nazareth Academy teammate of 2021 5-star QB commit JJ McCarthy

Keeler is ranked as the no. 528 player overall, the no. 32 SDE and the no. 16 player in Illinois.
