After putting Michigan State in its place last week, the Wolverines now set their sights on Indiana. Just last week, this Indiana team was nationally ranked and narrowly lost to Penn State in one-score fashion.
Although it’s enticing to realize Ohio State is only two weeks away, it’s important for the Wolverines to not overlook the Hoosiers (7-3).
Newly-minted captain Peyton Ramsey has been efficient this year with a 72% completion rate and 10 touchdowns compared to only 3 interceptions. Yes, he is also named after Peyton Manning.
Although he isn’t the most fleet of foot, he is not immobile. He has 3 touchdowns and over 200 yards on the ground this year.
The sophomore running back is following up his very good freshman season well. Scott has nine scores and over 800 yards gained this year.
Scott, a New York native, is one of the famous Rutgers RB decommits to succeed elsewhere, joining Saquon Barkley and Jonathan Taylor.
Out of the backfield, Scott has 25 catches for 211 yards.
Micah McFadden is on a tear at linebacker for Indiana, as he has seven and a half tackles for loss. He also leads the team with 46 total tackles, with Raekwon Jones and Khalil Bryant close behind.
The top pass-rushers for the Hoosiers are Allen Stallings IV and Demarcus Elliott with five. Indiana has a glut of big defensive linemen up the middle for the Wolverines to avoid.
In the secondary, teams tend to go after Tiawan Mullen, who has eight pass breakups and 15 tackles this season with no interceptions.
